I go out to clubs very rarely, so I thought it would be a good opportunity to try a new look. I decided to create a bold, smokey eye with Barry M Dazzle Dust in 98, a dark purple with blue duochrome to match my shirt. I tried to go rocker chic, which is not usually my style; I never felt comfortable with such a dark eye make-up, but this time I actually really liked it.
I have to say this Dazzle Dust is simply stunning! I was expecting a lot of fallout, so I applied a sticky base underneath (Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Seashells), and I'm proud to report there was not even a tiny speck of glitter on my cheeks when I finished! I'm already thinking of how to incorporate it into everyday looks...
Products used:
Eyes:
CS Eye Poxy Primer: to prevent cream eyeshadow from creasing
Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow in Seashells: a greyish shade all over the lid
Barry M Dazzle Dust in 98
Annabelle eyeshadow in Vanilla Chilla to highlight
generic black gel eyeliner on upper lashline
MaxFactor Colour Perfection eyeliner in Ice Blue on the waterline
Lips:
Barry M lipstick in Peachy Pink
Maybelline lipgloss in Pink Whisper
Cheeks:
CS "G" Bronzer/Blush

ReplyDeletewhat a cool event! and your brother...an interesting combination--lawyer and dj! i like the dark eye on you--will you dare to do it during the week? one of these days i'll try a dazzledust..i see them in so many photos of people's collection..
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing... seriously stunning! I also love the Barry M DD. I emailed you about the swap btw! xxx
ReplyDeleteWow you look amazinggg!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the dark eyes on you- you look like an editorial model :)
@su-pah: Charcoal colors are the best for fall/winter! xxx
ReplyDelete@fantastic: Hahah, yes, my brother has to outweight his serious job by being a dj :) I'm thinking maybe not a dark eye, that would be too much for uni (I'm already daring it with bright pink/berry lips), but maybe as a liner? I only have this one Dazzle Dust, unfortunately, but I can really recommend the one I have!
@loveaudrey: Thank you, sweetie! I'll get back to you as soon as my dreadful presentation tomorrow is over! xxx
@Sarah: You girlies make me want to try dark eyes more often! Thanks, hun :) xxx
I like the dark eyes! I love that you model pose for all your pictuers...makes the posts fun and dramatic. =)
ReplyDelete@Kajal Couture: Thank you, sweetheart! My husband always laughs at me for my posing, but well, I like it, it makes me feel a bit more glam :) xxx
ReplyDeleteI really like the way this so understated "smokey eye effect" subtly matches your shirt's prints, with a lot of dark/scintillating delicacy . . .
ReplyDeleteps: Cet "Eloge du Maquillage" de Charles Baudelaire Truly sounds as an exquisite rhetorical Tribute to Femininity !!!
à Bientôt, Antoine

@stilettostetico: Thanks a lot, I actually bought the shirt the day before and I absolutely love it (maybe I would feature it in an outfit post?).
ReplyDeleteAh, Eloge du Maquillage, this should be like a gospel to every beauty addict :) xxx
@Ondine: Awww, you're really sweet, but I doubt anyone would watch me babbling in a strange Slavic accent ;) xxx
