Nautical glamour for S/S 2010

The nautical trend has always been one of my favorites for spring and summer season. I'm not sure what it is exactly that makes me adore it so much: maybe the 60's inspirations, the fresh and universally flattering clash of white, red and navy with a touch of gold, slightly French feel, stripes, ropes and anchors, or simply memories of seaside walks on the pier? Whatever it is, I'm loving it, and lately I've been drawing my fashion inspiration from these beautiful outfits:

What do you think of the 'sailor' look? What's you favorite trend for this season? I'd love to hear your thoughts! xxx

  1. I'm also very drawn to this trend as red is one of my favourite colour. It also makes a nice change from the dull, dreary colours of winter... black, black, black, more black and some grey!

I'm not sure what my favourite spring trend is. Perhaps florals? I do love me some flowers!

  2. Oh, florals are also beautiful! You just reminded me my favorite rose top that goes beautifully with a skirt I have from last season :) And red is one of my faves too!

  3. Loving all of these! Did you see the post I did a few weeks back where Whitney Port from the City was wearing this amazing striped blazer coat with florals? It looked so fab. xoxo

  5. i LOVE red and navy...i think those are two colours that go gorgeously together, but separately; red makes a instant statement and navy always reminds me of subtle elagance!

  6. I've always loved red too, but recently I'am also very much into blues with navy included. They look gorgeous together with a touch of cream or nude accessories. x
